I've been messing around with various sound technology called Binaural Beats while playing. It's basically a tone set at a certain frequency which your brain waves match over time. I've had great success recently listening to Theta waves while playing as this frequency spectrum puts the listener in a very relaxed almost meditative state. I've also been listening to them before going to bed and I've noticed I've been passing out fairly quickly and sleeping through the night easier.

That being said, I think on the other side of the coin these waves are making me too relaxed at times. I've noticed myself playing overly weak tight lately and even have a few hands that are just completely laughable. I've also been mixing in some Gamma waves as well which bring your mind up to a quicker mental rate, more so when I'm overly relaxed. I think finding a balance between these two is key, but did want to relate that I've been really doing well with these things.

I also actually ran fairly well today and made a few buyins even though my play was sub par at best. Got in a few hours before going out, didn't get as many as I wanted but hopefully should get in a full day tomorrow.

Wanted to get some hands in as I've been a bit lazy this week, so played for about two hours before going out to the bars. Really was on my B game for most of the night and made some weaker plays early into the session. Also was in a ridiculous amount of spots that I had to fold on the river and wasn't running great at first. Made a few stacks later on to catch up a bit but ended down about a buyin.

Going to try to get a good amount of hours in tomorrow. My sleep schedule is back on track a bit but energy levels have been lower from adjusting again.

Really continuing to run like total garbage, especially against the fish. Just not even coming close to hitting flops and am getting into some real goofy spots. My sleep schedule is also so absurd now I never know what day or time it even is and I think everything is making me play a bit of a weaker game. I've noticed myself making some real weaktite plays over the last few days so I think I'm going to just take tomorrow off and put in a fresh start on Sunday. Didn't really end down today much at all, but breaking even is pretty unacceptable for putting in some good hours.

Only finished down $300 today but was having $2k swings, eventually finished $1400 under EV so that is kind of sick. I had a few hands I just played bad and ran terribly vs. fish. My sleep schedule is still really off from last weekend and I think this H1N1 vaccination I got is owning my life. Going to pull it together a bit and play hard tomorrow.

Continued smashing through during my session today. Had to cut it short a bit due to Guard but I was getting tired and nitting it up near the end. Made a lot of moves today and felt like I had some real penetrating reads. Got a little too sloppy at one point against a few super fish but overall did real well. Also absolutely raped this one guy hand after hand it was unbelievable. I am going to try to post something which shows all hands in a string all at once.

Absolutely crushed 200nl and 400nl today for about $3300 total which is pretty close to the most I've made in a single day. I'm feeling super confident at the tables and really have a good grasp on what everyone is thinking and doing. I made a few miss steps and probably made a few tight folds but overall was pounding on fish and regs alike. I did run $700 over EV today so I guess that makes up for earlier this week and my EV is now even for the month. Going to try to get one more session in tomorrow night and then I have to work in the guard this weekend so I'll miss those days.

Also, for a little mini milestone, my dollars earned according to PTR has now just passed my rake paid so that is cool. I dug myself into a pretty big rake hole back when I used to break even playing 20 tables of 100nl, so finally catching up to and passing that line feels good.

Did another 10 hours today, and will likely take tomorrow off to rest a bit. I think my body is still adjusting to longer sessions b/c I keep having a few sloppy moments here and there but nothing too serious. I am also up against much better players than at 100nl so that is probably adding to that.

Overall I played pretty decent today, but could have done a bit better. I am still being way too nitty in concerns to 3b/4b wars and getting squeezed pre. Probably just need a few more days of playing 200nl+ to be more comfortable with them. I'm also having some pretty good creative moments here and there, but I'm feeling they come too sporadically and I need to be on top of the ball a bit more.

Still running like total garbage at 400nl, but am getting very confident in playing with the players at those games so I guess long term outlook looks good.

Ran like complete trash today. Ended up about $800 under EV which is kind of gross. I finished the day up $400 but I should have been up so much more, just makes me want to puke.

On a stronger note, I went full on for 10 hrs today at 200nl and played a few 400nl tables that were fishy as well. I think I did pretty well, and probably got off the tables about 30mins too late as my play started deteriorating more at the end. Overall though I'm pretty confident in my game, going to keep pushing it and hopefully be at 400 and 600nl in a couple of months.
